Calais, France – A Quick Stay Full Of New Foods

As many of you may know, I went to France in 2008. I missed the chance to try a couple of dishes when I was there, and I thought that now might be a good chance to try one or two of them.

I noticed all kinds of cool shapes, patterns, colors, and patterns as I made my way to my hotel. After I dropped off my stuff, I set off on a search for some great food.

I found a wonderful restaurant and took a seat outside so I could watch people while I ate. I ordered up a starter of escargot. Despite all the jokes we made about it as kids, properly prepared snails are super delicious. I followed it up with a glass of wine and my first ever steak tartare. The steak took a little getting used to, but was still quite enjoyable.

So I was able to enjoy a great meal and mark two items off my list of foods I want to eat. Overall, it was a great stopover in Calais.
