“The very greatest things – great thoughts, discoveries, inventions – have usually been nurtured in hardship, often pondered over in sorrow, and at length established with difficulty.” – Samuel Smiles
I heard wonderful things about Belgium and especially about Bruges. I had a late night delay in Brussels and after staying up all night in a train station was fairly wiped out when I finally made it into Bruges. I crashed and slept through the night. Early the next morning, I got up to take a stroll before the city really got going.
The walk was wonderful. I found all sorts of interesting shapes and other things. After a couple of hours, I headed back to the hotel for a wonderful hot breakfast. I’ll do another post about the rest of my adventures in Bruges, but there are a lot of images from just my walk. Here they are.
