Croatia, Part Three – Sibenik and Split

“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius—and a lot of courage—to move in the opposite direction.” E.F. Schumacker

Jesus and I left Zadar after our day trip to Plitvice and headed on to the beautiful city of Split.  We stopped at Sibenik on the way to explore around for a while.  It was well worth it for me just to find the boat with the bear on top.

We spent several days in Split and stayed at a really nice apartment within walking distance of the old town area.  We met a really nice mom and daughter at the apartment complex and shared a few meals and drinks at night with them.

The area along the coast at Split is wonderful.  You can get great meals for a very reasonable price while watching the sun set and the boats roll in.  It is a wonderfully relaxing place to spend a few days.

Below are some photos from Sibenik and Split.
