Croatia, Part One – Zadar

“A little simplification would be the first step toward rational living, I think.” Eleanor Roosevelt

The next few posts about Croatia will mention my friend Jesus, he is a great photographer from Houston.  We met a few years ago at a workshop and roomed together at some photography conventions.  When I first mentioned Europe, we decided to travel together for a few days and Croatia shot to the top of the list.

I met him in Zagreb and we took the bus to Zadar for our first stop.  Zadar is an absolutely wonderful city and we had a great time wandering around.  We walked in to the city and explored the back streets.

We found what is either the furthest located franchise or an amazing imitation of an “In N Out Burger”.  Unfortunately, it was closed down because it was Sunday and didn’t get a chance to have a burger there.

My favorite part of Zadar is the sea powered organ built into the wall along the coast.  It uses the waves to create a rhythmic sound. I laid down on the ground and just relaxed while listening to the music.  It put me into a deep state of relaxation.  It was an amazing experience.

Here are some of my photos from Zadar.
