Cinque Terre & Genoa – The One Redo I Want

“Experience is how life catches up with us and teaches us to love and forgive each other.”  -  Judy Collins

In an effort to be open and honest about my travel experiences, I’ll disclose the fact that I had some bad days along the way. I was excited when I woke up early in Pisa, but I could tell that my body wasn’t doing too well. I started to feel a little sick.

The internet is a wonderful tool for gathering information on travels and is generally reliable. Unfortunately, the website that told me that I could check my backpack at the start of the Cinque Terre was not correct. Starting to get sick, I was forced to carry my loaded bag with me. After the first leg of the trip, I bought a different ticket and used the train to get from town to town.

I had a great meal of fried anchovies in one of the towns and bounced on to a couple of others. I didn’t really get a chance to explore any of them the way I wanted. I headed on to Genoa and crashed out. I walked around the next morning and then headed on.

Someday, I’d like to revisit the Cinque Terre and also Genoa. I did manage to get some photos that I’m happy with though I would love to see what else I could have gotten if I felt better. Enjoy.
